6-Week Summer Sunset Series (All-Levels) Group C (Wednesdays)
Trade your yoga mat for a paddle board this summer and take your practice to the water with South Shore Paddle Co., a floating, holistic yoga studio in Marshfield, MA.
The ocean is your yoga studio. And in this studio, the water is your gentle guide; the sounds of summer the soundtrack to your practice. Take your yoga practice from the studio to the water.
Trade your yoga mat for a paddle board this summer in our all-levels stand-up paddleboard (SUP) yoga sessions. Learn new skills. Meet new friends. Have fun – even if you fall off your board (we’ve all done it!)
Never tried paddleboard yoga before? No worries - we’ve got you!
HERE’S HOW CLASS WILL FLOW…
Each class includes on-land instruction. Your instructor will go over your board, how to use your paddle, and paddle strokes.
Then it’s time to head out on the water and paddle to our class location (approx. 10-15 minutes).
Once your board is locked into the anchor system, the rest of class time is devoted to yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
You’ll end with floating savasana, and then paddle back to shore.
In our all-levels sup yoga class, you’ll learn the basics of paddle-boarding and build a strong, confident foundation in your sup yoga practice. You’ll focus on belly, back, and seated postures as you work your way up to standing on your paddle board. Connect your breath and your movement, find space and stillness in your meditation and meet new friends.
Whats Provided
All your equipment (paddle board, paddle, leash and PFD) will be provided - plus access to our custom anchor system (or personal anchor for private sessions).
Our VESL paddle boards and carbon paddles are the best on the market - trust us, you’ll notice a huge difference when you try out these boards!
All of our participants will receive their own PFD (personal flotation device), too!
Each class includes on-land instruction. Our signature paddleboard yoga classes start with on-land instruction to set you up for success while you’re on the board! We’ll give you the lay of the land so you feel comfortable on the paddleboard and in the water.
What to bring
We suggest wearing whatever is most comfortable to you. Since we will be out on the water, the likelihood of getting wet is pretty high so we suggest wearing a bathing suit, with leggings or shorts, and a comfortable t-shirt to paddle and move in.
Sunglasses and a hat are optional (feel free to bring them just in case!)
On days where the wind might be higher than normal, please bring an additional layer to keep warm for class.
Plan ahead for your personal belongings as we will not be stowing keys or other personal items during class. We recommend a dry bag and phone case if you are bringing your items out with you.
Suggested Items to bring
Sunscreen (apply before class begins)
Water (can be stored on board)
Hat or visor
Rash guard / light layer (for cool days or windy days)
